A Ministry of Visiting

We are putting together a volunteer group for a home for the disabled, Haus Königsegg. 

Parishioners are invited to join a group of volunteers being set up to visit Haus Königsegg, a home for the disabled, to offer friendship, prayer and music. 

A message from Gabriella 

Each week we, at this parish, hear the gospels, homily, sing together, walk to make our communion, walk down the stairs and enjoy a sense of community after receiving God’s Grace. 

Just about fifteen minutes from here, is a group of people that opened my eyes to how incredibly fortunate we are to do just that. Once a month with sister Susanne, I go to Haus Königsegg to sing songs and pray with a group for just one hour. 

This sweet group of people need community and affection, and people to tell their jokes to. As sister Susanne said to me, they do not get much interaction with “the outside world”. With our flourishing community, I’m sure some can spare an hour of the month to join in giving to these sweet wonderful people.
