Traffic Alert in April & May 2025 for Holy Cross Church

Use Public Transport When Possible

TRAFFIC ALERT FOR HOLY CROSS CHURCH FROM Friday, April 11 until Friday, May 4, 2025: The spring edition of the semiannual Dippemess fair takes place in the Eissporthalle parking area, adjacent to the Holy Cross Church area, so during the event, all on-street parking near the church is restricted to residents with city permits to park in the neighborhood. Any vehicle lacking the permit will be towed. This will particularly affect travel to afternoon or evening services during Holy Week.

Parishioners who must drive to Mass at Holy Cross may park in the lot behind the church; if the neighborhood blockade security questions you, tell them you're going to the service and will be parking in the church's lot.

Otherwise, use of public transport is strongly recommended. The nearest stops are the Eissporthalle/Festplatz station serving the U7 underground rail line, Tram 12 and Bus 103 (walk up Kettelerallee to the church) or the Ernst-May-Platz stop for Tram 14 (as the terminus) and Bus 38.
