Programs for the Parish Children

Teaching our youngest members

The parish is glad to welcome so many young families at its three Masses every weekend. At each service, the children are invited to bring the parishioners' food-charity donations to the altar at the Offertory Procession, and to encircle the altar when it comes time to recite the Lord's Prayer.

Additional programs include:

• A Family Mass, usually monthly at Holy Cross, when the hymns, Bible readings and homily are especially arranged so the children in the congregation can easily understand them.
• In a revival of an earlier program, on the third Sunday of every month at Holy Cross, children 4 years old and above are provided an age-appropriate Liturgy of the Word in a nearby room during the readings and homily at the 9:30 a.m. Mass. The kids rejoin the congregation in time to take part in the Offertory Procession. The next session will be on Sunday, March 16, 2025. No pre-registration is required.
