For our youngest members
The parish is glad to welcome so many young families at its three Masses every weekend. At each service, the children are invited to bring the parishioners' food-charity donations to the altar at the Offertory Procession, and to encircle the altar when it comes time to recite the Lord's Prayer.
The parish's regular programs for children include:
- A Family Mass, usually quarterly at Holy Cross, when the hymns, Bible readings and homily are especially arranged so the children in the congregation can easily understand them.
- Children's Liturgy of the Word, on the third Sunday of every month at Holy Cross, at which kids 4 years old and above are provided an age-appropriate Liturgy of the Word in a nearby room during the readings and homily at the 9:30 a.m. Mass. The kids rejoin the congregation in time to take part in the Offertory Procession. No pre-registration is required. The next program takes place at the Oct. 19, 2025, Sunday Mass.
- NEW AS OF OCTOBER 2025: We are in the process of setting up a Children's Choir at Holy Cross, and invite our young parishioners with hearts for serving the Lord to join. Youngsters who can read up to teenagers who are age 19 years old are welcome to take part. Please contact Treena Relova, Angelika Feuerbach or Marose Spielberg after Sunday Mass or send a message to the Parish Office at international(a)parish-frankfurt.de (replacing the (a) with the standard @ for emails.)
Note that classes for First Holy Communion for 2026 began in autumn 2025, while a course for teenagers to receive Confirmation in May 2026 will begin in January 2026. Please contact the Parish Office at the email address above to register. Young people who will be at least age 16 as of May 2026 are eligible.
