Gallery 2023: So Long to Ampy Mueller

The parish said goodbye at Mass on Sunday, Oct. 15, 2023 at Holy Cross to Maria Amparo "Ampy" Mueller, who with her husband Gerhard is moving back to her native country of the Philippines. Ampy, who has lived in the Frankfurt area since 1996 and was married at St. Leonhard's Church in May 1997, became the parish secretary initially on a voluntary basis in 1998 and then officially employed by the Diocese of Limburg from August 2000 until her retirement at the end of 2014. Since then, she's been known to parish volunteers particularly for her regular gifts of baked goods to them on Sundays. In honor of that, Father Christian and Pastoral Associate Lori Bemb gave her a Frankfurt-themed present of useful kitchen items as a memento. We wish Ampy all the best in this new phase of her life.
