Fellowship following Mass
With the easing of Covid-19 pandemic social restrictions, each of the parish's church locations has resumed regular get-togethers for the congregation after the weekend Masses.
Weather permitting, St. Leonhard's holds a Giving and Sharing Saturday in the plaza in front of the church on the last Saturday of the month following the 6 p.m. evening Vigil Mass, featuring snacks, soft drinks and wine. A special collection takes place at Mass to support an aid program for the poor in Albania backed by three Capuchin brothers at Frankfurt's Liebfrauenkirche.
At Holy Cross, coffee and soft drinks are provided weekly in the Parish Hall following the 9:30 a.m. Sunday Mass. To reduce costs and eliminate waste and the need for washing up, parishioners are asked to bring their own coffee cups to the social and take them back home when leaving.
The St. Mary's community holds a Giving and Sharing Sunday on the first weekend of the month following the 5 p.m. Mass, also with snacks and drinks in the Parish Hall. Proceeds from a second collection there are given to the area branch of the Mary's Meals charity.
Volunteers are always needed at each church location to prepare the serving tables and drinks, clean up and put things away and, during the week, obtain supplies when required. If you'd like to help, please contact the Parish Office at international(a)parish-frankfurt.de or phoning (069) 219 36 500.
