Advent & Christmas 2025 Music


Preparing for and celebrating the birth of Our Lord

A range of music styles will be on offer at our Masses as the parish readies for Christmas
- Musicians performing at the 5 p.m. Saturday evening Vigil Masses at St. Leonhard's Church during Advent 2025 will play an additional 15 minutes following the service. The groups include
- Nov. 29: Haste Töne choir
- Dec. 6: Ensemble Mainklang (click for more information)
- Dec. 13: The parish choir, singing guitar-based hymns
- Dec. 20: Ensemble Flautando
- The choir, led by parish music director Connie Horne on guitar, will provide music in the Tagalog and Bisaya languages at the parish's annual Filipino Festival Mass at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 7 (the 2nd Sunday of Advent), at Holy Cross Church, in preparation for the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception the following day
- At 7:30 p.m. that evening, the group will perform Advent carols -- including sing-along pieces -- at Liebfrauenkirche, Liebfrauenberg, 60311 Frankfurt, part of that church's annual nightly Advent music service. For Liebfrauenkirche's full 2025 seasonal program, click here
- Music at our 3 p.m. Christmas Eve Mass on Dec. 25, 2025, at Holy Cross will be provided by the Schola choir of the Medical Missionary Sisters and the K2 vocal ensemble, led by parish music director Benedikt Milenkovic.
- The Caxias Ensemble Orchestra, a group of 11 young-adult musicians from the southern Brazilian city of Dois Irmãos, will perform at the 10:30 a.m. Christmas Day 2025 Mass at Holy Cross.
