Many Tongues, One Celebration
The Diocese of Limburg's foreign-language parishes hold their annual Mass observing the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2024 at Frauenfriedenskirche in Frankfurt's Bockenheim district. The celebrations start with a multilingual Recitation of the Rosary at 3 p.m., followed by Mass at 3:30 p.m. (in German, with readings and petitions in various languages), a procession of a statue of the Virgin around the neighborhood, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in front of the church and a pot-luck meal afterward with food contributed by the communities. The concelebrants this year will be Bishop Napoleon Balili Sipalay Jr. OP of the Diocese of Alaminos in the Philippines and Limburg Diocese Auxiliary Bishop Thomas Löhr.
