Brother Anil Says Farewell

A new calling in India

The following is the farewell message published in the June 2024 Parish Bulletin by Brother Anil Suthi, OFM Cap, who had the role of cooperating priest for our parish since the beginning of 2024, as he returns to his homeland of India for a new role at his order there.

Dear loving brothers and sisters,

At an unexpected time and in an unexpected manner, I am to say a goodbye to this esteemed parish in Frankfurt. On May 13, 2024, I was appointed by my major superiors in India as the Rector, Guardian and Parish Priest of our Major Seminary, St. Francis College, Eluru, India. Therefore, my farewell comes much earlier than expected and I had to leave Germany on May 23 so that I could take the charge of the new appointment on May 27.

I always cherish this special parish in my heart for its international, beautiful, prayerful, devout and loving people. Words will not be enough to express my heart to you all. However, the Lord has His own ways and designs and I am called to do His Will, wherever I may be. I take this brief period in my life as a wonderful time of experience for my future ministry.

Nevertheless, I’ll be back to Frankfurt for a very brief period from October 24 - November 20, 2024, in order to say a proper Goodye/Aufwiedersehen to you all and hope to see you then. Do pray for me!
