Musical Highlights in Lent 2023

Songwriter Performs and a Quartet Sings

Josma Rodrigues, born in India in 1993 and raised in Oman, writes, sings and plays spiritual songs at various church services and events. Among other music during the services, the soprano will sing a hymn she composed, "Come Follow Me," at St. Leonhard's and Holy Cross during the weekend Masses on Feb. 25 and 26, 2023, for the 1st Sunday of Lent -- a piece that won her the Vocation Music Award in 2021 and that was later professionally produced and released in December 2022. Her desire is for her music to touch people's hearts and enable an encounter with God. She is currently studying theology at the St. Georgen Graduate School of Philosphy and Theology in Frankfurt.

Other music of the Easter preparatory season includes the singing group KQuartet led by our music director Benedikt Milenkovic performing at Palm Sunday Vigil Mass at St. Leonhard's on April 1 as well as at Holy Thursday Mass at Holy Cross on April 6.
